I was a bartender and drug addict in El Dorado, Arkansas when two teenage boys knocked on my door and invited me to church. After a few return visits, I trusted Christ for salvation on November 17, 2002. Under the preaching and discipleship of my pastor, J.D. Weido, I began to make many life-changing decisions including answering the call to preach.
In Bible college, I surrendered to go and serve the Lord in the Northeast, and the need in the city of Philadelphia burdened my heart. The Lord directed, and through the assistance of area churches, we were able to secure a building in the “Badlands,” a dangerous part of Philadelphia.
We held our first service on June 28, 2009 and the Lord has blessed the church with many souls saved and people helped. It’s been over six years since we started and the video below shows the lives that have been changed as a result of God’s work.
The Lord has placed in me a desire to start more churches throughout the city of Philadelphia. God has impressed upon my heart to start the Bible Baptist Church, one mile from Liberty Baptist Church in the city of Philadelphia. Though they may seem close in proximity, approximately 30,000 people live between the two churches and we need to reach them with the gospel.
We are working to raise support for this new church work. Our goal is to start in early 2016.
We are seeking to raise $3,000/month to support this new church start. We ask that you consider taking us on for support at one of the monthly support levels:
